Next Friday 29th November Levi and Phil will be doing a demonstration of their freestyle jumping for students as well as providing a demonstration open to the public at 5.30pm on our school field.

Please send along a non perishable food item for your child/ren to pop on the More FM Bus as a part of their Christmas Food Bank Drive.  They will be with us just before 9am that morning in the car park so please take care if you are using the drop off zone after school has started at 8:50am.

This week the White Ribbon Riders visited with their motorbikes to spread the message of being kind.  We were reminded that kindness has a ripple effect and is a "yes" feeling that makes us smile.  Being unkind is a "no" feeling that makes us feel grumpy and sad.  We finished the visit by having a close up look at the bikes and were gifted tattoos and wristbands to remember their important message.

On Monday we had the White Ribbon riders come to school and talk to us about how it is a good thing to feel and talk about our emotions, both good and bad.  Why not have a go at sharing your emotions with your whānau in Te Reo Māori.

The student’s have been busy creating art work that can be made into affordable Calendars, Cards, Diaries, Mouse Mats and Sketch Pads.

Each product is made from your own child’s art.

These make unique Christmas gifts for family and friends and are perfect for posting overseas.

A few years ago Myross Bush School Friends of School Group did a fundraiser with a mindfulness book ‘This is ME’.
Chatbus Schools are selling off the last of these to fundraise for Chatbus. These are being sold for $10 per copy (usual price was $19.95 per book).   A link will be shared with you via Skool Loop for you to order.
There is a fast turnaround on these as there are limited numbers so it is definitely a first in, first served basis.
Orders will close on Friday 29th November, books will be available once paid for - more on how money will be collected later.

There is an increase in people not using the drop off zone or carpark areas correctly or parking in areas that obstruct the road patrol area.  
The Drop Off Zone is meant to keep the traffic flowing which includes ensuring that you move as far forward as possible before allowing your child/ren to get into the car.  If using the drop off zone please ensure your child/ren are able to open and close the car doors getting in independently and this area is not to be used as a parking area.  
Please also keep the areas free around the crossing so that our road patrollers can see clearly up and down Dunns Road.  We appreciate all of our community members who do use these areas safely.
