Taonga Pūoro
Last week musician Bob Bickerton visited our school performing to both the senior and junior students, sharing pūrakau through the use of taonga pūoro (traditional Māori musical instruments) - https://www.bickerton.co.nz/taonga-puoro/
Students were captivated by the beautiful sounds created by these special instruments. Since Bob's visit students have enjoyed creating their own versions of these instruments and our playground has peppered with the sounds of these.
